There are many different types of snowmobile racing. There is enduro racing, which is circle track racing, and there is ice drag racing. I drag race. Drag racing is where you and one or two other snowmobiles line up at the starting line. There is usually a light tree, which gives the most accurate race results, the tree can disqualify a racer or racers for jumping the gun, which happens a lot in drag racing, due to adrenaline rush. Once the green lights are on, its a race, and you better be holding on. The power of the snowmobile will set you back, and if you do not have a tight grip, you will most likely fall of the back of the snowmobile.
I look forward to race days, they are the best days in the winter. There are always so many poeple out on the lakes. It is always good to see what kind of machines poeple have been building.
People that I race with include
Our racing team consists of quite a few more racers. My uncle's cousin is also a racer, Rich Perro. There are few more Chris,Mark, Dean, Kirk and Garin. These guys are always great to race with. They make race days a lot of fun.
Even though they don't race, my family goes, which includes my mother, my step-dad, and my brother, Kirk, are out there ever race day watching us and also help us by filling the sleds up with gas, scraping the ice chuncks from the ice that way the snowmobiles hook up better. They also help by hooking us the hoses for the cool down systems.
